4 ways to fade body pigmentation

4 ways to fade body pigmentation

If you want to fade the stubborn hyperpigmentation and dark patches that show up on different parts of the bod, here are 4 simple ways to go about it that you may not have thought about.

  1. Be mindful of the clothing you wear. Seamless underwear and bralettes help to reduce the rubbing along inner thighs, underarms, and bra lines. Additionally, avoid sitting in sweaty gym clothes. The combination of moisture, heat, and friction on the inner thighs and underarms accelerates darkening.

  2. Make sure you are hydrating internally AND externally. Moisturise body skin daily, especially after showering when skin is still slightly damp. Dehydrated skin holds onto dead pigmented cells longer. Then, to address hydration from the inside, drink 2-3 litres of water daily & if possible, add hyaluronic acid to your supplements to amplify skin hydration. Dehydrated skin turns over more slowly, which means pigmented cells stick around longer.

  3. Targeted internal support. Ingredients like licorice root, dragon's blood, polypodium, selenium, zinc, and Vitamin C can help interrupt the melanin overproduction signal from the inside, which is particularly relevant for body skin where topicals struggle to penetrate as effectively. Try incorporating something like the Hyperpigmentation Cleanse to get all the melanin regulating ingredients in 2 simple daily capsules.

  4. Be careful how you remove body hair. If you shave areas that are hyperpigmented (underarms, bikini line), switch to a sharp single-blade razor or consider alternatives. Dull razors and multi-pass shaving cause micro-trauma that triggers post-inflammatory pigment.

That's it. Small, consistent changes that most people overlook.
